Working non-judgmentally in Cambridge City Centre’s Night Time Economy.
Their aim is to keep an eye out and offer assistance to anyone in any kind of need without judgement. They keep in touch with door staff, police, paramedics and CCTV, by radio which links to the Street Pastors and NightLite in case people need them.
They work to promote the concept of workplace chaplaincy and support the chaplains who offer this service across Cambridgeshire. They do this by supporting workplace Chaplains of all faiths across Cambridge, Peterborough and surrounding areas in their work of meeting the pastoral and spiritual needs of people in work settings of all kinds, whether commercial, public or voluntary sector.
They do this through a programme of networking events; regular communications, and providing signposting to information such as training or regulatory changes.
Concrete Rose Collective is a Christian organisation operating across Cambridgeshire that provides supported lodgings for vulnerable young people (including care leavers, young parents, those facing homelessness and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children). In this model young people (16-23) are accommodated within the homes of families, individuals and couples who have a spare room and a desire to make a difference.
Concrete Rose supports hosts by providing a comprehensive training and induction package, 24/7 on-call support, regular supervision and a financial remittance.
Hope into Action Cambridge is reaching into the heart of Cambridge and making changes to individuals affected by homelessness.
They are the local Cambridge team of the national charity, Hope into Action UK, empowering local churches across Cambridge to open homes for those experiencing homelessness in the area.
Hope into Action believes the church is ideally placed to be at the forefront of addressing the need of homelessness and partner with local churches to provide housing for those who temporarily find themselves without a home.
